Tesla Home is the home energy management system that comes standard with Powerwall. Powered by Opticaster, Tesla’s AI optimisation software, it predicts your energy needs, automatically adjusts how your appliances use energy and can help lower your electricity bills.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add Powerwall 3 to my existing solar panels?
In many cases, yes. It depends on your inverter and how your system was installed. We’ll come and look at it and tell you your options before giving you a price.
Does it work during a power cut?
Yes, if it’s installed with Tesla’s backup equipment (Backup Gateway 2), so your home keeps its power during the outage. If you want this, we include it in the quote.
Is it suitable for a three-phase home?
Powerwall 3 is designed for single-phase systems. If your home is three-phase, we’ll look at it with you and explain the options.
Can it be installed outdoors?
Yes. It’s certified for indoor and outdoor use, with IP67-protected batteries and electronics, and works from –20 °C to 50 °C.
What warranty does it have?
A 10-year manufacturer warranty, as long as Powerwall 3 stays connected to the internet. Our labour is covered for 4 years.
How long does installation take?
Usually one day. With new solar panels, the whole job takes 1 to 3 days. We then handle the registration paperwork.
How much does it cost?
It depends on your usage, whether you already have solar panels and whether you want backup for power cuts. We give you a fixed price before we start.
